Victoria Freed has joined Savills retail agency team in Scotland as a surveyor. She joins from JLL where she worked in the property management department specialising in shopping centre services. Freed will take up her position in the Glasgow office on 19 June.
The Carter Jonas’ London development team has recruited James Staveley as an associate surveyor from Network Rail. Staveley will advise on redevelopment opportunities involving brownfield, mixed-use developments across London and the South East. Thomas Upton has joined as a graduate surveyor from JLL. Upton will support the development and affordable housing teams.
Advisory firm Rider Levett Bucknall has appointed Conor Ellis as head of its UK healthcare department. He has worked in the sector for more than 20 years’ and has held senior management roles at Citrica, Triba and EC Harris.

The London team of Naismiths has recruited Richard De Coster as a senior project monitor. He joins from Rex Proctor and Partners.
JLL’s residential agency business has appointed Andrew Keelan as an associate director from Henry & James to manage the Chelsea lettings office. Director Kate Flynn will manage the Knightsbridge lettings office from September and will oversee the firm’s prime central London lettings division. Phoebe Tye has joined as an associate director from Savills and will be based in the Knightsbridge office.
Affordable housing provider Metropolitan has appointed Geeta Nanda as chief executive. She is currently chief executive of Thames Valley Housing and will join Metropolitan in October, succeeding Brian Johnson.
Office agency expert Nick Woodman has retired from Altus. Woodman oversaw the successful integration of Maxwell Brown into the Canadian-owned Altus Group.
The Birmingham office of CBRE has made the following senior director promotions: Rob Robinson, head of specialist markets; Will Ventham, head of office agency; and Nick Woodward, head of capital markets. Associate director appointments include: Jon Brice, capital markets; Rob Green, building consultancy; James Orr and Ed Palgrave, asset services; and Donna Pickersgill, regeneration. New senior surveyors have been named as: Liz Bailey, office agency; Abi Barnes, specialist markets; and Owen Williams, building consultancy.
AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has appointed Crispijn Stulp as head of asset management and transactions for the Netherlands market. Robbert-Jan van Baal has been promoted to local head of asset management based in Amsterdam.
Atlas Residential has appointed Dominic Martin as director of operations. Based at the London office he will oversee the expansion of the firm’s UK property management and operations business.
Mitch Brown has joined law firm Ward Hadaway as a consultant. He specialises in housing and mixed scheme development and management.
Vail Williams has appointed Richard Goodall as a partner in its Birmingham commercial property investment team. He joins from JLL and will be responsible for growing the business in the Midlands from the firm’s new office in Newhall Street.
Base Quantum has hired Steven Jackson from Mott MacDonald. He joins as a director to strengthen its international team and its global presence.
Matt Taylor has been promoted to real estate partner at law firm Clifford Chance. He advises on commercial real estate transactions and specialises in real estate joint ventures and acquisitions and disposals.
Bruton Knowles has appointed Peter Hadley as partner and head of professional services in Worcester. He is experienced in commercial property and professional services sectors and previously worked at JLL, KPMG and Aberdeen Asset Management.
CBRE has appointed Andy Cunningham as a senior director in its advisory and transaction services team in Glasgow. He joins from Cushman & Wakefield and will work alongside Audrey Dobson on strengthening the firm’s offering in the Glasgow office sector.
Gavin Acheson has joined Birketts as a partner in the commercial property team in Cambridge.
Design firm Unispace has appointed Roz Allen as a senior associate in client relations based in its London studio.
Lynne Fennah will join Empiric Student Property as chief financial officer with effect from 26 June.
Oliva Harris has succeeded Jon Gooding as chief executive of affordable housing provider Dolphin Living. Harris will be responsible for the firm’s overall governance and housing and asset management.
Berlin based Medici Living Group has appointed former CBRE Global Investors managing director Klaus Kortebein to its advisory board.
Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed fund manager Ross Owen as chairman of LSH Investment Management. He was previously chief executive of Cluttons Capital Partners.
Benson Elliot has appointed Trish Barrigan as managing partner, effective from 1 January 2018. Marc Mogull will take on the role of executive chairman and chief investment officer, and Joseph De Leo will take over as partner from Philipp Braschel who leaves the frim.
GVA’s property management team in Scotland has appointed associates Graham McPhail in Edinburgh and Iain Wallace in Glasgow. The business space team has promoted Alison Taylor to senior director, Peter Fraser to director and Craig Semple to associate.
