Sophy Moffat (pictured, left) has joined Avison Young’s innovation and insight team as director and national offices lead. She was previously head of research at Cluttons. Rhys Davies joins the Cardiff team from Cooke & Arkwright as an associate in its building consulting practice.
Caz Fairey (pictured, centre) has been appointed as a business development executive within Aitchison Raffety’s healthcare team. She has worked in the primary care industry for more than five years.

Richard Quartermaine (pictured, right) has joined Urban & Civic as its head of sustainability to drive its sustainable impact across all operations. Quartermaine joins from Hammerson, where he was environmental manager for its net positive strategy.
Hayfield has strengthened its customer care team by promoting Harriet Dickson to head of customer care and Hannah Bailey to customer care manager. Della Swan has been recruited as a customer co-ordinator, Lesley Kelly joins as a customer care manager and Paul Foster has been appointed as senior quality training manager.
Paul Beckett has been appointed to the Sterling Capital board of directors. He joined the firm in 2019 and is the head of development.
NREP has appointed Colin Throssell as a partner and chief financial officer based in its London office. His responsibilities will include overseeing international financial operations for the business.
David Thomson has joined engineering consultancy Pell Frischmann as the firm’s new environment sector director.
Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust has appointed Priscilla Davies as an independent non-executive director and senior independent director.
Crest Nicholson has expanded its executive leadership team in the Midlands, appointing Tim Brickley as managing director, responsible for overseeing operations; Jamie Thompson as land director, responsible for growing business development portfolios; and Jonathan Earp as commercial director, responsible for securing new contracts and commercial opportunities.
Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed Martin Kirk from Hollis as head of development monitoring to support its growing pipeline of projects.
Lichfields has appointed Ben Simpson as its new planning director based in the London office. Simpson brings more than 25 years’ experience in residential development, major projects, urban extensions and new communities to the role.
Cain International’s European real estate equity team has appointed John Spillane as vice-president for portfolio management from Orion Capital Managers, and Robert van Vliet as vice-president for asset management from Hammerson.
Colliers has appointed Victoria Dent as operations director. She joined the firm in 2020 and is responsible for the business’s UK external reporting procedures. Dent was the first non-fee earner to complete the firm’s all-female leadership programme REAL for Women in 2021. Joshua Sullivan, former associate director of Christie & Co, has joined Colliers’ hotel agency division to support the Midlands and the South.
BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Stephanie McMahon to the new role of head of strategy and Vanessa Hale as head of research and insights.
Law firm Lodders has appointed property development and investment expert Chris Dewes as a partner. He joins from Pinsent Masons.
Edenstone Group has made the following senior promotions in its South Wales and South West offices: James Morgan takes on the role of land director, Helen Thomas has been named group legal director, Katie Peters strategic and southern planning director, and Bill Hughes head of design for homes. James Kathrens has been named as the head of sustainability, while Steve Barley has become development director for partnerships. Richard Vine takes the role of technical director and Richard Price has been named head of commercial, while Stephanie Rogers takes the role of group financial controller.
Savills Investment Management has hired Patrick Au Yeung as senior fund manager, European residential, based in the Netherlands.
Gerald Eve has appointed Sean Rooney as an associate and Mark Balaj as senior planning consultant in its planning and development teams in Birmingham and Manchester respectively.
Connells Group has appointed Julie Chapman as group chief technology officer to support the company’s strategy to leverage digital technologies to enhance its customer offering.
