People and companies: Kingswood appoints non-executive director

Europa Capital has promoted Lynn Smith (pictured, left) to the newly created role of head of sustainability and development, formalising the business’s approach and commitment to ESG. Based in London, Smith will also focus on maintaining and improving the GRESB performance of its funds.

AXA IM Alts has hired Rob Samuel (pictured, centre) as its new head of development. He will oversee its UK multi-sector development programme under global head of development Germain Aunidas. Samuel previously served as chief development officer for Battersea Power Station.

Kingswood Homes has appointed former Homes England interim chief executive Gordon More (pictured, right) as non-executive director. He has worked in the banking sector for more than 30 years, focusing on the real estate and corporate markets.

Hines European Property Partners has hired Jorge Duarte as a fund manager. He joins the firm from Barings and will work on plans to raise €1bn (£837m) of investor equity in the first 12 months.

Roger Clarke has been named the new chief executive officer of IPSX, replacing David Delaney, who held the position for more than two years. Clarke previously served as the company’s managing director and head of capital markets. Mike Coker has been promoted to group chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

Nash Bond has strengthened its client service offering by appointing Nico Judd as an associate director working within the lease advisory team and Cesca Hawes as a senior surveyor specialising in restaurants and leisure. Geordie Mungavin has also joined as a trainee surveyor in the retail agency.

Mixed-use developer Socius has appointed Luke Martin as project manager for its flagship projects in Bristol, Soapworks and St Christopher’s. He previously worked for JLL as a senior surveyor.

Colliers has appointed John MacArthur as director in the project and building consultancy team based in Glasgow. He was previously with Knight Frank.

Index Property Information West Midlands has hired Nick Draycott to the new role of head of client partnerships. He joins from GlobalX.

Former Cushman & Wakefield associate director George Jolliffe has joined Goodstone Living as acquisition manager. He will be responsible for identifying and acquiring BTR opportunities for Goodstone Living’s ongoing development of new residential communities in the UK.

Housebuilder Gleeson Homes has promoted Mark Wood to operations director in the Greater Manchester region. He has worked for Gleeson for nearly four years and most recently held the position of head of construction.

Invest in Nottingham has hired business expansion and inward investment specialist Raj Birring as part of its inward investment projects. He will work with James Mann and Nicolle Ndiweni to support businesses moving to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Real Local Group, a developer of high street renewal, has appointed Crispin Lilly as director of business development. He joins from cinema chain Everyman, where he was the CEO for six years, overseeing the growth of the company from 10 to 35 sites.

BNP Paribas Real Estate has expanded its team in Scotland with the appointment of Allan Matthews as director of agency and occupier solutions to advise clients on industrial and office property. He joins from CBRE.

Nexus Infrastructure has appointed Clare Lacey to the board as an independent non-executive director. Lacey is a partner at QMPF.

Alistair Cantor, a specialist in commercial and regulatory litigation, local government, and property and housing law, has joined Cornerstone Barristers.

Gillian McLees, director at Rettie & Co, has been appointed chair of UKAA Scotland. Dougie Orton-Wade, an asset manager for Allsop, has been named chair and Peter Grimshaw, from Regal Blinds, has been appointed deputy chair for UKAA North West.

JLL has hired Hugh Faith from TT&G Partners and Richard Bullock from Savills as directors for its City and West End markets respectively. Neil Prime has been appointed to the board as head of clients for the UK business, focusing on investors and occupiers. He joined the firm in 2005.

Build-to-rent developer Cortland has recruited Jason Kern as president of investment management to support its growth in the US and internationally. He joins from LaSalle IM.

Tamlyns South West has appointed Paul Reed to the position of head of commercial property. He previously worked at South Gloucestershire Council and Colliers International.

LCP has hired Ben Chislett from Savills as head of retail in its UK offices.
