People moves: Alder King boosts Bristol team
Appointments and promotions
Alder King has promoted James Mackay to head of valuation and viability, and Tom Dugay to partner in the agency team. Hannah Eshelby (pictured, left) has joined as a partner, while Sam Carson has joined the residential development team as an associate.
Emma McCarthy (pictured, right) has been promoted to managing director of retirement property management firm Churchill Estates Management. She will oversee the company’s development strategy for its property management and retirement living services.
Former New West End Company chief executive Jace Tyrrell has been appointed chief executive of public-private partnership Opportunity London. The partnership has been set up by the NLA and London & Partners to secure investment for the capital across real estate, regeneration, infrastructure and energy. Tyrrell will return to London to take up his new role from 1 November.

David Kaiser, former head of real estate for the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa at WeWork, has launched Oneder, a new flexible office business, with Dan Cohen, who previously set up flex operator Purpose Group. The new company will target businesses in the creative industries.
Oxenwood co-founder Jeremy Bishop will step down after nine years at the helm. He will remain a senior adviser to the firm until the end of the year. Bishop will continue to be an investor following his departure.
Hill Group has promoted Dan Haines to land director to oversee the company’s residential land portfolio and strengthen the company’s regional expansion plans.
Arrow Global Group has appointed Zachary Vaughan as head of real estate, and Toni McDermott has been made chief investment officer.
Avant Homes is launching new offices for East Scotland (in Edinburgh) and West Scotland (in Glasgow). The east office will be led by managing director Iain Allison, and the west office will be led by managing director Jim Wilkinson.
Robert Irving Burns has appointed Lee Koffman as director and head of residential sales. He has more than 20 years of experience in London’s prime residential market and joins from UK Sotheby’s International Realty.
Gordon More, the former chief investment officer and interim chief executive of Homes England, has been appointed as a senior strategy adviser at Housing Growth Partnership, where he will support its expansion across the living sectors.
Aitchison Raffety has appointed David West as its new area director in the Manchester office, where he will lead the expansion of the group’s valuation offering in the region.
Ian Webster and Adam Robinson, co-founders of niche occupational retail agency Robinson Webster, have set up Forge alongside former Fawcett Mead equity partner Jonathan Mills and ADS Real Estate Advisors director Joe Baio. All four are equity partners in the new business, which will advise on investment, agency and professional matters.
Property and investment company LCP, part of M Core, has appointed Catherine Young as senior legal counsel for the Bristol office. She joins from RPC.
Castle Green Homes has appointed Peter Lewis to the new role of head of customer care.
DTRE has hired Paul Riley and Robert Kos as finance partner and associate partner respectively. Riley will lead the development of its governance and reporting, while Kos will provide logistics experience to grow its regional presence.
Cushman & Wakefield has hired JLL director Christopher Robinson as a partner in its UK logistics and industrial capital markets team. Emily Fox has been appointed to a newly created partner role to lead its residential valuation and advisory team in the Midlands.
European logistics investor and developer Verdion has appointed Mark Garrity as development director for the UK. He joins from Chancerygate, where he was responsible for delivering new facilities across the Midlands.
