People moves: Colliers bolsters EMEA capital markets team

Colliers has appointed Matthew Ardron (pictured, left) as its new EMEA Capital Markets director. He will support clients’ capital requirements and provide strategic guidance to investors seeking partnerships and joint ventures. Ardron previously worked for Henley Investment Management.
SHW has appointed Alex Gale (pictured, right) to the position of senior partner as of 1 April. He is currently the regional head of SHW’s London, south London, SE M25 and SW M25 offices.
Vail Williams’ Simon West has retired from the commercial property industry after 45 years of service. He was a partner at Cowling & West before its merger with Vail Williams in 2021.

Cushman & Wakefield has strengthened its hospitality valuation team with the appointment of Mark Woolfitt as a partner. Woolfitt joins from CBRE, where he has spent the past nine years as a director in the hotels team. Earlier in his career, he worked at Cushman in the valuations and advisory team.
Knight Frank has promoted the following staff members to proprietary partner with effect from 1 April: Rebecca Schofield, partner in the industrial agency team and head of the Sheffield office; Charles Olver, head of Chelsea sales; and Jon Reynolds, regional partner leading north, City and east London lettings.
Gerald Eve has appointed new partners Henry Fellows and Matthew Prout to the planning and development team to focus on development agency opportunities in central London. Mark Churchouse joins the leisure team in operational real estate.
David Bridges is rejoining Kier as managing director of its property business. He originally joined the company in 2020 as chief executive of Kier Living, after which he worked for Homes England as chief investment officer.
Ryden has appointed Ken McInnes as head of client relationship and business development. He was previously office agency partner.
Hong Kong-listed Link REIT has appointed Duncan Owen as its chair elect. In addition, he will serve as a member of the finance and investment committee and the nomination committee of Link Asset Management. Owen also chairs Sellar Property Group and Workspace Group.
Developer and asset manager Chancerygate has appointed Michael Treliving as its chief financial officer. He will oversee the company’s corporate finance activity for its UK and European operations. Treliving joins the business from specialist UK logistics and industrial property business PLP.
Former JLL South East Asia chief executive Chris Fossick has joined developer Native Land as a non-executive director. He oversaw the growth of JLL’s South East Asia business more than 17 years, helping clients acquire and sell more than $30bn (£23.8bn) of commercial real estate.
Chris Ward has joined Avison Young’s capital markets team in Manchester as a director. He will work alongside the firm’s investment, sector and consultancy teams across the North West.
Andrew Granger has joined Mather Jamie, a specialist land development and property consultant based in Loughborough, as a consultant. He is the founder of Andrew Granger & Co and previously served as the deputy lieutenant of Leicestershire.
Law firm Pinsent Masons has appointed corporate real estate partner Jon Blackburn to join the real estate sector team in its London office. He previously worked at Maples Teesdale.
Eddisons has appointed Josh Northcott as director of its valuation team in the North West. He joins from Colliers, where he was an associate director of its international valuation and advisory services.
Neil Prime, head of UK clients at JLL, has joined the board of Ocean Outdoor as a non-executive director. He brings 35 years of experience in the real estate and property services industry.
Cushman & Wakefield has appointed partners Chloe Garth and Rory MacGregor to lead the firm’s provision of advice to the UK life sciences sector in valuation and advisory, and the capital markets respectively.
Knight Frank has hired Rachel Hughes as a senior surveyor in its property asset management team in Cardiff. She joins after nine years at JLL.
Matthew Bennett has joined Wyatt Homes as its financial director. He has previously held senior board roles with housebuilders in the south-west of England.
Pan-European industrial and logistics specialist Verdion has promoted Jamie Young to development surveyor in London, Daniel Carstens to senior asset and commercial manager in Copenhagen, and Valerie Setz to senior asset manager in Frankfurt.
Vail Williams has hired Frank Perri to its lease advisory team to strengthen its Surrey and London markets provision. He joins as a partner after more than six years at Lorenz Consultancy.
Savills has promoted Kamil Kowa to managing director of Poland. Fraser Watson has been named head of investment and Hugo Fischer an associate for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Sofia Tholerus has been appointed as a senior valuer in Sweden, and Aymeric Le Roux has been made head of agency in France.
DM Hall has promoted David Hyde, Wallace Kidd, Martin Fleming, Kenny Geddes, Hayley Anderson, Adam Jennings and Paul Carr to director. James Struthers, Graham Wilson and Oliver Lawson have been made associates.
Beth Myers has joined law firm Howard Kennedy’s real estate team as a partner from Cripps.
