Knight Frank has hired Olivia McCue (pictured, left) as an ESG consultant in its energy and sustainability practice. Rob Brown has joined the firm’s project and building consultant division as a partner.
Avant Homes East Midlands has hired Neil Ballett (pictured, centre) from Taylor Wimpey as a land director to support its regional expansion strategy, which includes sourcing new site opportunities, managing acquisitions and securing planning consent.
The Urban Land Institute has recruited Aleksandra Smith-Kozlowska (pictured, right) as a director in the research team, focusing predominantly on ESG and environmental sustainability across the built environment. She joins from sustainability consultancy JustOne.
Lambert Smith Hampton has promoted new executive directors, David Earle from the office advisory team, Steve Norris from the planning, regeneration and infrastructure team, and James Polson and Alex Carr from the industrial and logistics team. All are based in London.
Danny Leitch has been appointed to the newly created post of head of central group operations at the Wigley Group. He was formerly a major in the British Army.
Lichfields has promoted Ian York, Gayle Black and Robert Dibden to planning director; Madeleine Rigby to associate director; and Caitlin Newham, Tobias Robinson, Sean Farrissey, Charlotte Walker and Emma Callaghan to senior planner.
Hollis has promoted Jeremy Riney to director and head of its Berlin office and Cris Gasco to head of its Madrid office.
Jason Knight, formerly of Bellway, has joined Newland Homes as contracts manager.
Land development and property consultancy Mather Jamie has hired Fraser Hearfield as an assistant agency surveyor in its industrial, office, retail and investment markets.
Ian Cornock, the former head of UK regions at JLL, has joined Barberry Group as a non-executive consultant. During his career, he has advised clients such as Argent, Birmingham City Council, Ballymore and Arden Cross.
JLL has promoted Giles Weir to head of strategic occupier solutions, supporting the industrial and logistics business.
Stuart Howie, Sarah-Jane Osborne, and Barry Crichton have been named regional managing directors for Avison Young’s Leeds, Bristol, and Manchester operations, respectively.
Law firm Lodders has appointed solicitors Samantha Amphlett, Chris Mills and James Leighfield to its real estate group.
Ami Kotecha, co-founder and group president of Amro Partners, has been appointed to the board of the British Property Federation. Kotecha is also the chair of the UK PropTech Association.
Niche retail and leisure agent Lunson Mitchenall has promoted Nick Klein to equity director in the lease advisory team and Chris Watt to director in the investment team.
Jackie Bennett, chair of the Bank of England’s residential property forum, has joined Climate X as an adviser as the company develops its technology for financial institutions and real estate globally.
Housing association Peabody has appointed David Hardy, currently chair of its finance and treasury committee, as interim chair, following the death of Lord Kerslake in July.
Vickery Holman’s Exeter office has appointed David Arnold as project officer, Mary Sloman and Silas de Burgh as graduate general practice surveyors, and Jed Burton Taylor as graduate building surveyor.
Colliers’ healthcare team has recruited Alison Willoughby, based in its Leeds office, and Peter Scholes, in its Manchester office, as associate directors. They both join from Fleurets.
Savills IM has appointed Kevin Aitchison from Knight Frank to the new position of managing director for equity investments in the UK and Europe in advance of Kiran Patel’s retirement as deputy CEO and global CIO next year. Apwinder Foster has been named global head of strategy and client capital.
CBRE has recruited Sophie Priest as its first corporate social value manager in the UK, based in the Manchester office and working across the firm’s national ESG and public sector teams. In Birmingham, Anne Walsh, Richard Connolly, and Richard Brown have been promoted to senior directors, and Raj Bains, Ross Jones and Luke Thacker have been made directors. Hannah Badger has been appointed director of the residential capital markets and investment properties team.
