People moves: Savills grows EMEA data centre team
Appointments and promotions
Rupert Duckworth (pictured, left) has joined Savills’ EMEA data centre advisory practice as an associate director. He will focus on pan-European markets, primarily across the operator and hyperscale communities, and identify future emerging markets.
Auriens Group has appointed Julie Fawcett (pictured, centre) as its new chief executive, extending the company’s commitment to define best-in-class experiences for later living within an integrated retirement community.
Ascend Properties has hired Lee Hill (pictured, right) as its commercial director. He was previously head of BTR at JLL, where he advised institutional investors on development, letting and management.

Former Avison Young employees Richard Stonehouse and Pete Day have launched Victus Real Estate, an investment advisory business. The company will invest in and fund multi-family and single-family, affordable housing, co-living, student housing and later living.
Blackstone has promoted both global co-head of real estate Ken Caplan and European head of private equity Lionel Assant to the position of global co-chief investment officer, while Nadeem Meghji has been named global co-head of real estate.
The RICS has appointed Liz Peace as senior independent governor, she will serve on both the governing council and the board; Gurpreet Dehal as an independent member of the governing council; Douglas McCormick as chair of the membership services committee; and Kelly Olsen as a board member.
Michele Steel has been named the first chief executive of Regeneration Brainery, an organisation whose aim is to get a more diverse range of young people into property careers. She formerly worked as a director at Deloitte Real Estate and held strategic planning director roles at Vita Group and Select Property.
Eddisons has hired Nazar Soofi as head of sustainability and decarbonisation to oversee the launch of its sustainability centre. He will advise on carbon reduction and environmental best practice for both the public and private sectors.
Shannon Conway and Mike Nicholson have started a build-to-rent residential development venture, Picture This. The business has signed its first joint venture partner with 250 homes in the pipeline. Conway was previously residential director at Glenbrook and Nicholson was a director at JLL.
CBRE has appointed Jonathan Lowe as head of science and technology for the North, strengthening its occupiers, operators and investors offering. He joins from Avison Young and is experienced in advising developers, investors, occupiers and universities across multiple asset classes
Town Centre Securities has hired Lynsey Clarke as asset manager for the Merrion Centre in Leeds and Victoria McLeod as area operations manager for its portfolio in both Leeds and Manchester.
Churchill Homes has appointed architect Aimee Pirie to the newly created role of creative director, with the goal of leading the company into a new contemporary phase.
Heather Hill has joined the MK2 Real Estate management team. She previously worked at Cushman & Wakefield, Orbit Property Management and Pennycuick Collins.
John McClymont has joined Colliers’ valuation and advisory team as head of financial modelling and strategic analytics. He previously worked for Knight Frank.
Maxine Loftus and Julian Paine have joined Savills’ affordable housing consultancy as directors in the governance, risk and regulation team.
Kirsty Berry has joined Travelodge as head of estates.
Montagu Evans has hired Ashley Collins as a partner in its planning team. He joins from JLL, where he served as a director.
Andy Harding, former JLL industrial and logistics director, has joined Taurus Developments as a consultant and member of the advisory board.
Untold Living has appointed Lex Cumber as sales and marketing director. He joins from US proptech firm Sherpa and has previously worked at Arco.
Lewis Ellis has hired James Grasby as a senior surveyor in the commercial investment business. He formerly worked in Savills’ licensed leisure team.
Carter Jonas has appointed Edward Walter and Finn White as surveyors in its Oxford planning and development team.
James Harrap has joined the senior leadership team at Runway East, a provider of flexible office space. He was formerly a sales director and board member at Flexioffices.
