People: the latest staff moves in European property

New MD for CBRE innovation group


CB Richard Ellis Consulting has appointed Chris Hood as managing director of its workplace innovation division.


Hood previously worked for Hewlett-Packard’s Workplace Strategy for 30 years. Hood has also worked for the Business Design Group, Higgins & Root and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.


 


Two join Holman Fenwick Willan


Holman Fenwick Willan has appointed Robert Follie and Hervé Israël to its corporate finance team in Paris.


Follie and Israël left Hogan Lovells to join HFW.


 


Pellicer returns to Rockspring


Rockspring has appointed Jose Luis Pellicer as associate partner and head of research. Pellicer returns to Rockspring’s research teram, where he was head from 2004-07 before working for Goldman Sachs’ property derivatives division and AEW Europe’s London office.


 


Tomperi is new CapMan partner


Ilkka Tomperi has been appointed a partner in the CapMan Real Estate team, where he will be responsible for the business development and international expansion of CapMan’s real estate investment activities. Tomperi has been a vice president at Franklin Templeton Real Estate Advisors since 2007, responsible for investment strategy and the management of private equity real estate fund investments in Europe. He previously worked as head of other investments at the State Pension Fund and as a manager in PwC Corporate Finance. Tomperi is a Finnish citizen and will be based in CapMan’s Helsinki office.


 


Europa Capital MBO team swells


Former Europa Capital directors Erik Ruane, Nic Fox and Rob Sim, together with five other members of the management team – Belinda Chain, Richard Collins, Kevin D’Arcy, Simon Hooper and Jason Oram – have joined the founder partners (Peter Cluff, Christopher Curtis, Charles Graham, Noel Manns and Robert Martin) and The Rockefeller Group as owners of the business.


 


Ozanne MD at Foncière des Murs


French property company Foncière des Murs has appointed Dominique Ozanne as managing director. Ozanne replaces Yan Perchet.


 


Hatt to leave Nelson Bakewell


Nelson Bakewell’s former chairman Mike Hatt is leaving the business, just over a year after he led the sale of the agent to Capita. Hatt will now become a consultant to both Capita Symonds and Capita Group.


 


Langlay-Smith joins Wainbridge


Wainbridge has appointed Graham Langlay-Smith as chief finance officer. Langlay-Smith joins Wainbridge from Credit Suisse, where he was director of the European team of opportunity fund DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners. He has also worked for developer TrizecHahn Europe, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and HSBC.


 


AXA REIM appoints Leube


AXA Real Estate Investment Managers has appointed Matthias Leube as regional head of the Property Services Group and AXA Real Estate’s local head of Germany. Based in Cologne, and reporting to Anne Kavanagh, AXA Real Estate’s global head of the Property Services Group, Leube will be responsible for all acquisitions, disposals, asset management and development activity in Germany.


 


Dodd joins Jones Lang LaSalle


Jones Lang LaSalle has appointed John Dodd as a director to lead the workplace offer within its Corporate Solutions England team. Dodd has previously held senior Workplace and Corporate Real Estate roles at Citigroup and Merrill Lynch.


 


Clarke moves to AlixPartners


AlixPartners has appointed Peter Clarke as senior advisor for the advisory firm’s European real estate practice. He joins from British Land, where he was an executive team member. He oversaw the refinancing of British Land’s CMBS transactions at the landmark Broadgate estate in the City of London, its Sainsbury’s superstore portfolio, Meadowhall Shopping Centre and its debenture restructuring.


 


Visker exits HSH Nordbank


Bernhard Visker has resigned as board member of HSH Nordbank. He leaves at his own wish, having worked 25 years for the bank. He was responsible for the bank’s real estate business amongst other business lines.


 


Cushman & Wakefield hires Karas


Cushman & Wakefield has hired Bernhard Karas as a director within its global capital markets team. Based in Hong Kong, he will work closely with Cushman & Wakefield teams in London, Frankfurt, Singapore and New York. He will be responsible for equity-raising on behalf of external clients and introducing capital from Asia into global markets, as well as seeking investment opportunities across Asia for international investors outside the region. He joins Cushman & Wakefield after nine years at M3 Capital Partners.


 


de Haan joins Cordea Savills


Cordea Savills has appointed Arnold de Haan as a non-executive director. De Haan will provide Cordea Savills with strategic advice. De Haan, who has his own advisory company, Boishaen, is a director at MeyerBergman and was once chief executive of Multi. He has also been a board member of CommerzGrundbesitzgesellschaft and is a member of EuroHypo’s international advisory board.


 


Prew and Duncan go to Jefferies


Property analysts Mike Prew and Robert Duncan have joined global securities and investment banking group Jefferies. The pair were formerly at Nomura but announced they were leaving in March after the bank decided to withdraw from covering the real estate sector. Prew’s new role is managing director of European real estate equity research, while Duncan is a senior vice president in his team.
