Sarah Kingston (pictured second from right) has joined Bruton Knowles’ Guildford office as an associate to work on commercial and investment property-related issues. Adrian James has joined as a partner and head of the Cardiff office. Unispace has appointed Neil Usher (pictured second from left) as executive consultant based in its London studio. ACTUA has recruited Alex Gamil (pictured left) as an associate building surveyor in its North-West office. Gamil joins from Atkins and will oversee all aspects of team management, condition surveys, measured surveys, space planning and feasibility studies. GVA has appointed Pippa Harrison as director in the alternative investments team. She joins from CBGA Robson. Gemma Quinn has joined SHW as an associate for the London professional team. Quinn is an experienced general practice surveyor and is a registered valuer. National property and investment company LCP has promoted Amy James to legal director. Construction firm Stepnell has appointed John Rawlinson as regional director for the West Midlands. He joins from Bouygues UK. Jeanette Edmiston and Patrick Knight have joined Cushman & Wakefield as partners to set up a specialist capital allowances service line in London. They join from Wandsworth Consulting, which they established in 2014. Real estate software company Coyote has appointed Julian Ionescu as head of consulting. London mayor Sadiq Khan has appointed chief executive of the UK Green Building Council Julie Hirigoyen as commissioner to the London sustainable development commission. Dulwich Estate Board of Trustees has appointed Simone Crofton as its new chief executive. Crofton will take up the post on 15 January. Malcolm Hollis has made the following promotions: Senior chartered building surveyor – Ross Williams, Dan Sweeney and Nick Loydall; associate – Chris Matthews, Stephen Parker and Stephen Chan; senior chartered building surveyor – Richard Turner and Shane Lowry; senior surveyor – Vanessa Gkouliopoulou. Patrick Ross has joined Manchester-based developer Generation. Ross was formerly head of business development for Southway Housing and established its development and acquisition programme in south Manchester. JLL has recruited Sue Asprey Price as lead director of its corporate solutions business in the UK. She joins from Source8. Clarion Housing Group has appointed Ruth Cooke as group chief executive. She will take over the role from Keith Exford in April 2018. Knight Frank has appointed Ross Murray as chairman of its rural asset management division. The Cambridge office of Barton Willmore has appointed Lyndon Gill as planning director from Iceni Projects. Joanna Burton has joined from Beacon Planning to lead the practice’s heritage planning offering.
