Pettifer Estates has secured the first tenant for its £65m Abbey Park in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
Agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO has signed a deal to house its new 81,000 sq ft European operations centre at the 118-acre business park, which lies close to the A46.
AGCO has taken a 20-year lease in the Midlands’ largest prelet so far this year. The quoting rent is £18 per sq ft. The Aedas-designed building will house over 500 staff relocating from premises in Coventry.
Demolition of existing buildings on the plot will start at the end of June. AGCO will relocate in autumn 2006.
The joint letting agents are DTZ and KWB.
