Pfizer is closing one of the UK’s leading drug development centres, in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
The decision follows Pfizer’s acquisition of Pharmacia, its smaller rival.
The closure puts an end to hopes of an expansion of pharmaceutical research and development in the county.
