Liverpool City Council’s planning committee has approved Pharmaron Biologic’s plans for a 400,000 sq ft research and development facility at Estuary Banks in Speke, Liverpool.
The plans, which were submitted in June, comprise a three-storey R&D lab and manufacturing facility, measuring 210,000 sq ft, a commercial warehouse and offices, extension to the west wing of existing laboratory and improvements to on-site amenities, infrastructure and parking.
The expansion is expected to enhance Pharmaron’s on-site capabilities and contribute to the UK’s ability to deliver advanced therapies to patients, as well as bring investment and jobs to the Speke area and wider Liverpool region.
The Beijing-headquartered firm is set to start construction later this month.
