Piccadilly Lights office scheme to hit market next year

A major chunk of office space, which includes a live tree that is five storeys tall, is to hit the market late next year directly behind the Piccadilly Lights.

Landsec said it had topped out Lucent, its new scheme at Piccadilly Circus, which will include 110,000 sq ft of office space across six floors, plus 30,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space.

The scheme, which is set to complete late next year, will feature the tree inside a central atrium, as well as more than 600 plants dotted around the building.

Designed by architects Fletcher Priest, developers hope the building will be in the top 0.09% of the UK’s healthiest buildings.

David Heaford, development managing director at Landsec, said: “Nature and wellness are at the building’s heart, which, coupled with its unbeatable location, will help future Lucent customers attract and retain talent in what will be a fantastic place to work.”
