Picton names former Landsec boss as next chair

Picton Property Income has named former Landsec chief executive Francis Salway as its new chair.

Salway will join the board on 1 February, succeeding Lena Wilson.

He was chief executive of Landsec between 2004 and 2012, prior to which he was investment director at Standard Life Investments. He is currently a non-executive director of Watkin Jones and Cadogan Group.

Salway said: “The company has an impressive long-term property performance track record and I look forward to working with the board and management team to build on this success.”

Picton chief executive Michael Morris added: “[Salway’s] extensive experience in the property sector and strategic vision will be invaluable as we seek to take advantage of opportunities arising from current market conditions.”
