A public inquiry into plans to designate part of the £200m Project Pinewood at Pinewood Shepperton’s studios in Buckinghamshire a town or village green will begin next month.
The TV and film production company announced the date of the inquiry in its interim results today.
An inquiry into the whole project, which includes building 1,400 homes within film sets depicting street scenes from cities around the world, 200,000 sq ft of commercial space, a school and a health centre, is scheduled to begin in April next year.
Pinewood Shepperton said that trading at its media park, which is let to various TV and film companies, had remained stable in the six months ended 30 June, with revenues dropping by just £100,000 to £3m.
Occupancy at the park remained stable at 88%.
The group said: “The company is well placed to take full advantage of any upturn in the commercial property market given its master planning consents.
