Pint Shop pours another deal in Oxford

Pint-Shop-Cambridge-based brewer Pint Shop has agreed a deal in Oxford for its second UK beer house.

It has signed for a 5,600 sq ft site at 27-29 George Street, which it is taking on a 25-year lease, paying £185,000 pa.

Pint Shop has chosen a building that was not previously a pub or restaurant, as it did with its first site in Cambridge. Formerly a building society, the site dates from the 1930s and will undergo considerable refurbishment.

Richard Holmes, Pint Shop co-owner, said: “There is a massive gap in the Oxford market for us. Being in the thick of the action again in the cultural hub is really exciting.”

Landlord Nuffield College was advised by the Oxford office of Savills; Twentyretail acts for Pint Shop.
