CBRE Investors has let restaurants to Pizza Express and Dean’s Diner at its Port Solent retail and leisure scheme in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Pizza Express has taken a 5,100 sq ft restaurant, which was previously a Caffè Uno, on a 25-year lease. Richoux’s concept Dean’s Diner has secured 2,000 sq ft, also on a 25-year lease.
Restaurant Property director Jason Grant, who advised CBREi, said: “There is a real buzz about the Port Solent scheme, which has become a real leisure destination over the course of past year. Some operators within the scheme have told me their restaurants in Port Solent are now achieving better turnover figures than those at Gunwharf Quays.”
Tim Clark, head of retail at Hughes Ellard, which also advised CBREi, said: “These latest deals follow on from deals with La Cuisine for a 1,513 sq ft kitchen shop and café, and a 1,491 sq ft office letting to local media company Sticky Design towards the end of last year.”
