Pizza Hut plans to close up to 29 of its restaurants as part of a CVA.
The chain, which has 244 sites in Britain, said that it had resorted to a CVA to reduce its £23m pa rent.
As well as leaving 29 sites, the chain wants a write off for unpaid rent debts on some of its more marginal sites and rent cuts for two years. Other sites would move to a turnover-based rent with a floor of 40-50% of the present rent. Only 30 sites would continue under current rents.
Voting on the deal will take place on 25 September.
