Manchester Airport Group has unveiled its vision of Airport City, one of 21 new enterprise zones announced in the Budget last month.
A masterplan for Airport City, which proposes some 2m sq ft of retail, leisure, manufacturing and commercial space, was endorsed for consultation by Manchester city council this week.
The plan has been drawn up by MAG Developments, the group’s property arm, with advice from Urban Strategies, Drivers Jonas Deloitte and Jones Lang LaSalle.
MAG is working with other stakeholders in the area to bring forward proposals for a definitive boundary for the EZ.
