Plan submitted for 1,500 Perth homes

Planning_scrolls_THUMB.gifA masterplan has been submitted for a residential scheme at Almond Valley in Perth, Scotland, with the potential for 1,500 homes.

The 160-acre site, located adjacent to Ruthvenfield and Huntingtowerfield, has been allocated for housing in the council’s local development plan.

The plan also includes a new primary school, community centre and leisure facilities.

Initial planning permission for Almond Valley was refused in 2012 but, after consideration by Scottish Ministers, it was re-allocated for development.

Savills are the planning agents for the project.

Alastair Wood, Savills head of planning in Scotland, said: “The submission of our revised masterplan is an opportunity to share our vision and we look forward to beginning a positive consultation process in order to deliver the homes that Perth needs.”
