Proposals for a £100m retail park on Cheetham Hill in north Manchester were unveiled this week. Retail park developer Pillar Property’s Manchester Fort will comprise 320,000 sq ft of retail space with 1,200 parking spaces. A total 167,000 sq ft has already been prelet, to tenants including Next, Borders, Mamas & Papas and Comet. Parlison Properties is carrying out the development on behalf of Pillar. The first phase is due for completion in July 2004 and will provide 220,000 sq ft of retail, including a 104,000 sq ft B&Q warehouse. FPDSavills, Wilkinson Williams and Morgan Williams act for Pillar.
