Organic supermarket Planet Organic has announced plans to open four new stores.
The retailer, who currently trades from three London sites in Nottinghill, Fulham and off Tottenham Court Road respectively, is targeting urban areas within the M25 for the expansion.
It is hoped three of the fours stores will be open within the next two years.
Development capital for the expansion has come from the existing shareholder group.
Founder Renée Elliott said: “The organic market is booming and now is the time to step up the pace with our expansion plans.
“With 4,000 organic lines, we are uniquely placed to offer maximum choice to local communities. This local format works very well in densely populated areas.”
