Planning granted for Bangor regen

marinegardensThe Northern Ireland Department for Social Development has secured planning permission for a mixed-use regeneration scheme at Queen’s Parade and Marine Gardens, Bangor.

The plans include 72 flats and eight homes as well as shops and office space.

Work on the regeneration of Queen’s Parade and Marine Gardens is expected to begin in 2018.

Justine Daly, urban design director at Turley, which masterplanned the scheme, said: “This scheme will transform Queen’s Parade, dubbed as Northern Irelands’ worst eyesore, into an attractive, vibrant, inclusive place for everyone to enjoy.”
