Planning judge caught out

A planning judge has had to be told what was meant by “sixes and fours” in cricket.

Mrs Justice Beverley Lang asked for the explanation when lawyers for a village cricket club in East Meon, Hampshire, opposed an extension to a former blacksmith’s workshop near their ground. They claimed that the windows would be vulnerable to any boundaries hit by batsmen.
