Connell Property Partnership and Shea Investments have been given planning consent to develop 500 new homes in Pendleton, Salford.
Spread across more than 20 acres of brownfield land, the scheme on Orchard Street in Pendleton will provide a mix of houses and flats.
Rachel May, planner at Avison Young, which is advising Connell Property Partnership and Shea Investments, said: “The Orchard Street residential development will make a significant contribution to the ongoing regeneration of the area, providing a new high-quality environment for much needed homes on brownfield land.
“The plan is to provide open space along the route of the former Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal, as well as create a children’s play area, opening up the site and helping to instil a sense of community among the future residents.”
