Berkeley Homes East Thames has secured planning permission to expand its £1bn Kidbrooke Village development, SE3.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich has granted permission for an additional 763 homes on top of to the 4,000 originally planned when permission was granted six years ago.
The change comes in response to the mayor of London’s requirements to maximise the vast development potential of estate regeneration projects.
The new homes will be built across three phases, with a 21-storey tower at the centre of the development.
Barton Willmore advised Berkeley on planning.
Greg Pitt, associate in Barton Willmore’s London office, said: “This is one of London’s most important regeneration schemes and we are delighted on behalf of our client to have helped secure permission for this major expansion.”
