Automotive and property development company Hartwell has lodged plans to expand Wootton Science Park, to the south-west of Oxford.
The move comes shortly after the proposals were revealed earlier this year. The expansion has a gross development value of £35m.
The plans include the delivery of 106,233 sq ft of new carbon-efficient lab and workspace buildings, as well as amenity space.
The new facilities are expected to support the wider Oxfordshire research and development sector, with purpose-built space for life sciences and technology businesses. The buildings will also be capable of adaptation to facilitate multiple tenancies and suit a diverse range of business sizes.
In addition, Hartwell will support start-ups, offering access to specialised equipment, mentorship and collaboration opportunities.
The expansion masterplan, created by design practice Scott Brownrigg, also features landscaped areas, secure bike storage, a bistro and a gym.
Hartwell has owned the park since 1975 and built the first office building in 2005. It has recently achieved practical completion of Origin, a two-storey CL2 laboratory building.
Gerald Eve is advising Hartwell on planning matters.
