Proposals have been lodged for the residential and public realm elements of Lumina Village, a £250m mixed-use scheme in Trafford, Greater Manchester.
Glenbrook, Bruntwood and Trafford Council have partnered to develop six blocks of flats, ranging from six to 20 storeys, and 53 three-storey townhouses at the Talbot Road site. In total, 639 new homes of one, two, three and four bedrooms will be delivered for rent, private sale and shared ownership, with at least 15% of them being affordable housing.
The scheme, designed by Sheppard Robson and landscape architect Re-form, will also include 5.4 acres of public realm, 5,300 sq ft of retail space on the ground floor and 200 parking spaces.
If approved, Glenbrook is set to start works on site in the second quarter of next year.
Shannon Conway, residential director at Glenbrook, said: “We have worked closely with Bruntwood, Trafford Council and our design team to ensure that the type of homes we are creating will meet the market need now and in the future, as well as delivering a new public realm based on age 8-80 principles that will benefit both the new and existing community.”
Trafford’s wider Civic Quarter masterplan includes up to 200,000 sq ft of offices, a primary school and a 100-bedroom hotel.
