Plans in for office tower in Manchester’s Northern Quarter

Soller Group has lodged plans for a new office development in Manchester city centre.

The site, which sits on Lever Street in the city’s Northern Quarter, comprises nine buildings assembled via multiple acquisitions.

Soller is looking to deliver an 18-storey scheme, spanning 125,000 sq ft of workspace, to be branded as NXQ.

The office building will be designed to a contemporary and sustainable specification, featuring a multi-purpose communal reception, a tech hub that will provide “touchdown space” for building occupants and a restaurant, which will be located on the corner of Great Ancoats Street and Lever Street.

Nick Treadaway, founding partner and chief executive of Soller, said: “Prime office stock in Manchester remains in short supply, and upon completion this will provide highly sustainable, excellent-quality accommodation that will appeal to occupiers in their ongoing flight to quality and who seek environmental excellence.”

Savills and Knight Frank are retained to market the scheme.
