Sheffield City Council and development partner Queensberry have lodged a planning application for a 154-bedroom Radisson Blu hotel as part of their Heart of the City II regeneration.
The plans, first revealed in June, propose a 89,000 sq ft, five-floor hotel on Pinstone Street, overlooking the Peace Gardens.
Andrew Davison, project director at Queensberry, said: “These plans will breathe fresh life into Pinstone Street, and we can’t wait to welcome international hotel brand Radisson Blu to Sheffield.”
The £480m Heart of the City II masterplan covers 17 acres in Sheffield city centre. The scheme comprises 1.5m sq ft of mixed-use development to be delivered over almost a decade.
