Plans revealed for £200m luxury Liverpool residential scheme

Legacie Developments has outlined proposals to build a new luxury residential scheme on a vacant 1.6-acre site on Leeds Street in Liverpool.

The scheme, known as the Gateway, has a gross development value of £200m.

Legacie plans to build four towers, providing 656 one-, two- and three-bedroom flats. The plans also feature a garden spa, which will include an infrared sauna, swimming pool, ice bath, oxygen chamber and experience showers. There will also be two gyms and two residents’ lounges, featuring a cinema room, coffee shop and convenience store.

The Gateway, designed by Falconer Chester Hall, would sit within the emerging Northern Quarter area, which is adjacent to the city’s central business district.

The move follows the acquisition of the development plot in April this year amid a liquidation of Vinco Group, which had secured planning consent from the council in 2019 to deliver 664 new homes.

John Morley, chief executive of Legacie Developments, said: “This site has been vacant for far too long, and we have stepped forward with a scheme that will be a catalyst for further regeneration, provide an economic boost and deliver something the city can be proud of.”

RWinvest has partnered with Legacie to promote the scheme.
