Plans revealed for new homes and business hub in Yorkshire

Proposals have been revealed for the redevelopment of 52 acres of land Wakefield, West Yorkshire, into a residential and business campus.

The Broad Cut Farms site on Denby Dale Road comprises an existing farmyard including hardstanding, agricultural barns, outbuildings and farmhouse dwellings. The existing buildings are expected to be demolished and replaced with new facilities.

Architect Spawforths is preparing a planning application on behalf of AAA Property Group for a mixed-use scheme comprising 419,792 sq ft of commercial space and 100 homes.

The business hub is expected to be used by the companies in the manufacturing, logistics and research and development sectors.

The homes are expected to be occupied by employees working on the business campus and will include a range of  sizes and tenures.

The developer is planning to lodge the application next year.
