The partners have lodged plans with Doncaster Council to deliver the 405,400 sq ft industrial scheme, comprising a 384,379 sq ft warehouse, 20,871 sq ft of offices and a gatehouse. In addition, the project will deliver parking spaces f0r 50 HGVs and 256 cars.
The new development is set to meet the BREEAM Excellent standard with an EPC A rating. It is also expected to provide around 350 jobs in the area.
Ben Ward, managing director of Rula Developments, said: “Rula plans to regenerate part of the former Hatfield Colliery in line with the overall regeneration of a brownfield site and larger masterplan for the Doncaster area. We are looking to develop a 400,000 sq ft industrial scheme in the coming months, which not only builds upon the Doncaster Local Plan but mirrors local aspirations and issues.
“We have a proven track record of delivering high-quality industrial and commercial space. The building will achieve the high sustainability targets we set at the outset by being awarded BREEAM Excellent accreditation and an EPC A rating. The proposed unit will provide economic benefits for the area by creating new jobs accessible to the local community in a sustainable location.”
