Marshalls has unveiled plans for a 640-home build-to-rent scheme in Leeds.
In a pre-application presentation to Leeds City Council, the development and construction company revealed its plans to develop The Tannery on the former brownfield Arla Foods site, near the River Aire.
The scheme include the six buildings ranging between seven and 16 storeys. Nearly 28,000 sq ft of food, beverage and childcare space is planned, with more than 4,800 sq ft of retail space. Around 7% of homes will be affordable.
An energy and sustainability strategy is being developed to “deliver a highly sustainable scheme that reduces the impacts on the climate and the natural environment”.
