Plans unveiled for Royal Worcester scheme

Berkeley and Royal Worcester have revealed their plans to transform the historic Royal Worcester porcelain factory into a multi-million-pound mixed-use scheme.

The waterside development will include up to 400 new flats alongside 70,000 sq ft of commercial space, comprising restaurants, other A3 and B1 uses and a 120-bed hotel.

The scheme, centred on two 3.5-acre sites in Severn Street and Portland Walk in Worcester town centre, is likely to have an end-value of £75m.

Knight Frank is advising the joint venture.

A planning decision is due early next month.
