Plantation owner sells place in City

British Land has sold the 51,095m² Plantation Place in the City of London for £527m.

A consortium of Tishman International, Insight Investment Management and private clients of investment agent BCM bought the One Plantation Place Property Unit Trust, which owns the freehold of the building. Completed in 2004, it is fully let to Accenture, Wachovia Bank, Royal & Sun Alliance and Aspen Insurance, producing an annual income of £27m. British Land said it would use the proceeds to fund its central London development schemes.
