Platform Housing Group hires new finance director

Midlands-based social landlord Platform Housing Group has appointed a former financial services specialist as its new corporate finance director.

Barry Greyling joins the firm from Centrus, a financial adviser to the housing industry. Prior to this, he worked in advisory roles for PwC and Investec Bank.

He has more than 15 years of experience in banking and finance, and in 2019 advised housing groups Radian and Yarlington on their merger to form Abri.

Rosemary Farrar, chief finance officer at Platform, said: “Ensuring we are financially robust is a key element to our success. With Barry at the helm we will be in safe hands.”

Platform, which owns 46,000 homes in total, completed 1448 homes in 2019-20 at an investment of £258m. The group has also built 981 social rented homes over the last two years in England, more than any other provider.
