PLP makes Super Smart deal in Staffordshire

PLP has secured CIRRO Fulfillment, trading as Super Smart Service, a global e-commerce fulfilment service provider, for a 15-year lease at PLP Stafford, its speculatively developed 345,000 sq ft project at Stone Business Park in Staffordshire.

Average achieved industrial rents in Staffordshire are around £7.50, according to EG Radius’ market analytics.

PLP Stafford was acquired in 2022 by PLP’s second investment vehicle, which is owned by majority investor Ivanhoé Cambridge alongside Peel Group, Greater Manchester Pension Fund and PLP.

Keith Wilson, development director at PLP, said: “Securing such a successful and dynamic occupier on a long-term lease here is a huge endorsement of PLP’s specification, design and ESG credentials.”

The development has been designed to BREEAM Excellent standards, is EPC A rated and has achieved net zero carbon and carbon-neutral status.

Charles Lu, head of business development at CIRRO Fulfillment Europe, added: “This state-of-the-art facility is an excellent addition as we gear up for the peak season, enhancing our capabilities to serve our customers better and more sustainably.”

Knight Frank advised PLP; Avison Young acted for CIRRO Fulfillment.
