The prime minister has announced almost £10bn of overseas investment in Britain ahead of a global summit of business leaders in London today.
The 18 new trade and investment pledges include a £1.5bn plan from Prologis to invest in net-zero carbon warehouses in England over the next three years.
Petra Group, the Malaysian conglomerate, will invest £30m to establish a modular homes business.
The largest commitment is a £6bn pledge from Spanish energy firm Iberdrola in the East Anglia Hub of offshore windfarms, which are subject to planning.
Bill Gates, BlackRock’s Larry Fink, Blackstone’s Stephen Schwarzman, JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon and Jes Staley of Barclays are also expected to take part.
