Prime minister Theresa May will head the committee making a final decision on whether there will be a third runway at Heathrow.
The economic affairs (airports) subcommittee will announce its decision in October.
The Airports Commission last year recommended a third runway at Heathrow as the best option for airport expansion in the southeast, however a final decision has been repeatedly delayed.
