Micro-flat developer Pocket Living has been granted planning consent for its largest scheme to date, with 196 homes at Osier Way in Waltham Forest.
The development will offer 100% affordable homes, available at discount market sale to first-time buyers in the borough, backed by grants from the mayor of London and Homes England.
It includes 148 one-bedroom flats which will be marketed to buyers with salaries under £60,000.
Waugh Thistleton Architects designed the scheme, comprising five blocks of between six and 13 storeys, with 9,700 sq ft of light industrial and commercial floorspace, rooftop terraces, gardens and allotments.
The development has been scaled down from original plans with six blocks and 210 homes, which was considered unacceptable.
