Poetic Cambridgeshire bargain on offer

Investors with a nostalgia for Grantchester, the Cambridgeshire village made famous by Rupert Brooke’s 1912 poem, could snap up a bargain at the next Cheffins auction on 19 September.

A two-bedroom terraced house (pictured) on the High Street in the village close to Cambridge is available freehold with a guide price of £295,000-plus. The Grade II listed property is in need of renovation.

Average home values in Grantchester currently sit at more than £1m, according to Rightmove.

The house is among 17 lots set to go under the hammer at the firm’s salerooms in Cambridge.
