Police Authority in largest office site sale in Dorset for three years

In the largest office development site sale in Dorset for three years, Dorset Police Authority has bought 2.6ha (6.5 acres) at Link 31, Ferndown, six miles to the north of Bournemouth.

The price paid for the land, which has planning consent for 4,063 sq m (75,000 sq ft) of offices, is confidential. However, it is understood to reflect a site value of £370,645 per ha (£150,000 per acre). The site will accommodate the Christchurch Divisional HQ and Traffic Unit, a new Ferndown Police Station, and Scientific and Technical Support Centres in 3,717 sq m (40,000 sq ft) of offices with ancillary workshops.

Alder King and Cowling & West acted on behalf of the vendors, the Joint Administrative Receivers of Belddir Estates.
