Police to sell former Warwickshire HQ for housing

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire is to sell a 64 acre site that has capacity for 115 homes.

It has appointed GVA to sell the site on Woodcote Lane in Leek Wooton, near Warwick, where the Warwickshire police headquarters used to be.

GVA is inviting offers for the freehold interest on either a conditional or unconditional basis.

Funds raised from the sale will be reinvested by the Police and Crime Commissioner to support future policing budgets. All police functions have been moved from the site, primarily to Warwick.

Andrew Moss, senior director at GVA, said: “This is a truly unique proposition, combining the listed grounds and 19th century Woodcote House with a significant green open space, woodlands and lakes.

“The setting on the edge of the picturesque village of Leek Wootton provides an idyllic backdrop for the delivery of new homes in a sustainable and convenient location which will provide a sympathetic expansion to the existing community.”
