A temporary hotel (pictured) that could be dismantled and transported from one location to the next will be on show in the architecture room at the 2004 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London.
After 2003’s special architecture focus curated by Lord Foster, the exhibition’s quota of architectural designs has been scaled back to the usual single room.
M3 Architects’ Hotel of the Future, for Thompson Holidays, is a self-sustaining facility for sites where establishing a traditional holiday resort would be unacceptable.
This year’s Summer Exhibition will be curated by Allen Jones and David Hockney. It will be open from 8 June to 16 August.
