Portergate submits plans for 19-storey BTR tower in Preston

Portergate Developments has submitted plans for a 19-strorey residential tower that will provide 120 build-to-rent homes to Preston City Council.

The 0.3 acre site is located on the former site of a gas training centre at Moor Lane and is adjacent to recently completed works undertaken as part of the University of Central Lancashire Campus Masterplan.

The scheme, called Moor House, will comprise a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments. It will also provide residential amenity space on the ground floor and public realm space.

If the Buttress Architects-designed scheme is approved, Moor House would be one of the tallest buildings in Preston.

Last year, a planning application was granted in Preston for a 21-storey tower designed by David Cox Architects, located on Patten Street.
