Porters moves to Berkhamsted

Porters-covent-gardenCovent Garden’s Porters restaurant is to relocate to a  3,000 sq ft site in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, in mid-2015.

The traditional English restaurant, next door to Covent Garden Grill at 17 Henrietta Street, WC2, has served as estimated 6m customers since 1979.

Shelley Sandzer acted for landlord Lothbury Estate.

Agent Kit Alexander said: “On behalf of Lothbury we managed to secure a fantastic new tenant in Porters. The deal reflects the quality and diversity of our contacts, and adds to the list of respected restaurant brands that work with Shelley Sandzer on new sites.”

Porters director Neil Wornham said: “Site selection for our relocation was incredibly important. We wanted to find somewhere that reflected the heritage that we have at Porters and would also provide somewhere memorable for customers. The new restaurant at Berkhamsted is perfect and we would like to thank Shelley Sandzer for their expertise in the deal.”
