Portsmouth Football Club has unveiled plans (pictured) for the residential-led £90m phase two of its stadium redevelopment, to be called Pompey Village.
Phase two will be developed on the former Fratton Goods Yard, a brownfield site that is now a car park, next to the stadium, and will comprise:
- 523 homes in five residential buildings, including studios, flats and penthouses
- a doctor’s surgery
- a pharmacy
- a 6,500 sq ft (604 sq m) sports hall
- offices for home-workers
- a convenience store
- restaurants and bars
Phase one will redevelop the existing stadium to create a new north stand and make some adjustments to the pitch.
The club will make a planning application in the near future. The plans have been designed by Fareham-based HGP Architects.
