Postmark puts its stamp on Paperchase sites

Greeting card retailer Postmark has leased and opened stores in all of the former Paperchase shops in Network Rail’s retail portfolio.

The deal will see Postmark take space at five of Network Rail’s 20 managed stations across Britain, totalling more than 3,755 sq ft at London King’s Cross, London Bridge, London Waterloo, London Victoria and Birmingham New Street.

The new leases were agreed in just two weeks, allowing the five stores to continue to operate.

Paperchase went into administration in January, with Tesco buying the brand but not taking on its 106 stores.

The family-run Postmark opened in Balham, SW12, in 2004. It has since grown to six stores in London, ahead of the recent openings with Network Rail.

Network Rail owns and manages 500,000 sq ft of prime retail space within major city centre stations.
