Pramerica Real Estate Investors has exchanged contracts to buy 55 Old Broad Street, EC2, out of receivership.
The European investment arm of US-based Prudential Financial is to pay around £53m for the 107,774 sq ft asset.
Contracts were exchanged yesterday, 29 May, a year after the Greater London Offices Fund, the joint venture between Warner Estate and Barclays that owns the building, was put into administration.
Receivers from Drivers Jonas Deloitte were appointed to the jv last May by Capita Asset Services.
